My name is Joseph Whitcomb.  I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. 
My family was born & raised here also.
I am married, have 4 daughters and 5 grandchildren with number 6 due in February 2021.

 

I have a degree in criminal justice, CCP, OCDL and a motorcycle endorsement. 
Like many Portlanders, I enjoy riding my mountain bike to and from work. 

I like classic muscles cars, motorcycles, camping, hiking, bicycling, and so much more.

 

I entered the workforce one month before my 15th birthday and have been working ever since.
I currently work in the materials department audit group.  I have been with this manufacturing company for 23 years now.

 

I am an Eagle Scout but never entered the Military and I wish I could have a redo on that.  I consider myself a conservative.  I support our constitution, our law enforcement, and our military.

My values have come from these 3 areas of my life. I want to see them strengthened and not diminished.

I am running for Mayor because I see these 3 areas being attacked and that saddens me!

 

I ran in 2020 as a write-in candidate for Portland Mayor, but my campaign got a late start and I didn't see victory in the November elections.  Even with that late start, I was energized by how many people in Portland were looking for change.  Now, I am asking for your help, as I would like to serve you as a Portland City Council Member.
